2012 Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta on 10/11/2012....The storm stayed, no evening glow and the next day it rained. The mountains in the background are the Sandia Mountains.

Wow....what is REALLY AMAZING to me is your capture of the lenticular cloud over the foreground mountain. If I ever saw one, I'd probably faint. #10422498Patricia A. Casey November 18, 2012
Thank you Thomas, Tammy and Michelle...Those are amazing clouds when you see them....especially ones that expand as far as this one did....sometimes they also pile real high up in the sky....beautiful sight! Have a great day ahead.... #10423860Laura E. Swan November 18, 2012
That is clearly the mother ship in that cloud being cloaked! Ha!(Too much Star Trek TNG for me, Patricia!)
We live at over 4,000 ft at my house and are literally in the clouds at times. It's amazing up here in the nose bleed seats! (But I prefer it from your level there! What a view!)

I know....doesn't it remind you of the Ray Bradbury story..."Something Wicked this Way Comes"....Cool book! They're not as scary as tornado clouds though....they just look mean....or in this case I was abducted for a few hours.....(LOL) Have a great remains of the day Laura and a terrific week ahead! #10424395Laura E. Swan November 18, 2012
Sounds like a good read!!! :DYou just be careful out there now, Okay?! Lol... #10424453

:)))) you bet! #10424456Dee Langevin November 19, 2012
Fabulous capture of the mountains and clouds Patricia. We don't see too many lenticular clouds on the east coast. This is really cool! #10425283Patricia A. Casey November 19, 2012
Those folks in the foreground were staring at me as they walked in front....I did have my tripod that night for evening glow...which didn't happen for the obvious reason....I love Lennies....so mysterious looking, but actually quite harmless compared to the Thunderheads and Tornado spouts..... #10425297Karen Celella November 20, 2012
Wow! Fabulous, Patricia! #10426910Patricia A. Casey November 20, 2012

Stunning view of those massive storm clouds with the tiny ant-people under them, Patricia. "Evening Glow" will come and go and come again, but this is a one-time-only scene. Terrific capture!Patricia A. Casey December 05, 2012
Hi Mary....thank you..... #10451961Nadia Paul December 10, 2012

Love that sky, Patricia! Nothing better than moody storm clouds in the horizon. The light is beautiful!!!! #10479350Patricia A. Casey December 26, 2012
Amazing that this received so much acknowledgement from my fellow BPrs...and not even an Editor's Pick....Oh well...luck of the draw....I only wish I could get some feedback on the two storm/cloud photos from the judges....I liked these two a lot...and still do...guess all that really matters in the long run...thank you so much for your kind words, too, Debra!!! #10479622Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
