Yesterday Description: From the Bodie ghost town in the Sierras. As a gold town, it boomed from late 1877 through mid- to late 1880. By 1915, it was mostly deserted. Bodie is now an authentic Wild West ghost town. The town was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1961, and in 1962 it became Bodie State Historic Park. A total of 170 buildings remained.
