Respectful Rounds
Uploaded: October 19, 2012
Last Month My Father Was Laid To Rest.
When I Visited His Grave Site At The Military Memorial Cemetery,
(One Last Time Before Driving Home To Canada),
I noticed A Serviceman In A Cart,
Making His Rounds.
Perfect Posture and In White Gloved Uniform I
Thought To Myself That Even In Death
Our Service Men and Women Are Shown Great Respect.
God Rest My Daddy's Soul.

Beautiful capture, Laura. Soldiers or ex-soldiers are so appreciative of their comrades--it's like no other relationship on the planet. Bar NONE, I believe. Steadfast!May your Daddy rest in peace. #1493252

This is such a beautiful shot, Sis! I love the rows and rows of tombstones! They create a really cool design! Your DOF is fabulous too! ... and I like how you included the Serviceman. I would have given this an EFP (at least), if I were the judges! :) #10390623Laura E. Swan October 29, 2012
Hi everyone! Thank you all so very much for each word.Yes Dooners, I was a bit surprised it didn't at least get an EFP. I guess they didn't read the description. That is what truly made this image meaningful. I liked the EOD, too, but I guess it wasn't strong enough to the eye???
Hugs to all! And don't forget to appreciate your loved ones today! They may not have tomorrow!

Thank you, you guys. I have seen photos my brother has recently taken and the dirt there is now grass and our Dad has a head stone there now, too.:) I am glad the judges gave this an EFP this time around. I re-entered it. :)
I appreciate the visit.
