The day I took this one it was very hot, 2 days later back to coats & the fire going. Today was OK but has cooled down tonight, thankfully no rain as yet. #10367406

I remember a sad image you posted once a long time ago of a house or houses that had been built where the birds and animals use to play and nest. And they seemed lost because they didn't know where else to live yet they were getting pushed out.

It is heart breaking to see industry and home building taking over when it comes to them and their little homes...

I get mad when I think of the rain forests being destroyed for lumber. So many animals and birds and frogs and bugs etc etc etc all being killed. Rare species gone forever. Not even to mention all the rubber and medicines we need that are found in the trees and plants there that they knock down.

I hope this bird has a good life. :)

Another one for John Connolly. Taken last Wednesday on a very hot day, the birds were taking shelter in the piles of rubble heaped up where the land was being cleared to make way for extensions to the local industrial area. Lens aperture f/5, shutter speed 1/250sec, focal length 36mm, ISO 80.
