More than 4,000 Buddhist structures were Bagan have built within 11th and 13th centuries. So many cultural heritages are still existing today and it is said the cultural growth of Angkor Wat of Cambodia was the same time that of Bagan. These structures had been damaged twice, once by Mongo tartars in the 13th century and another time by strong quakes in 1975. Nowadays we can see more than 2,000 pagodas in one place in Bagan.
