Really nice! I love the white background and the way you captured the shadow of the vase. Great photo. I've been experimenting with still life photography and fill flash and finding it hard to learn. #10356575Susan M. Smith October 05, 2012
Thanks Marcy! I've been experimenting forever! lol It really does take practice. When it comes to lighting and shadows, I try and keep note of what I did and the effect it had. Also, I have the SB800 speedlight and I can direct the flash where I want it. That gives you lots of options. You just have to remember exactly what you did to get the effect you wanted ;) #10356631Marcy B. Reman October 05, 2012
Great advice- thanks! I have the SB800 speedlight also. I need to buy a notebook to keep notes., that would probably help tremendously. You seem to have really captured the technique. #10356661Susan M. Smith October 05, 2012
Thanks Marcy. Don't get discouraged if you have quite a few throw-aways for every one that you like! I know I sure do! #10356680Joannie Bertucci October 05, 2012
