The sea had on its winter face this morning during sunrise. Massive waves, like the one in this picture, were rolling in hard and strong… sending sea spray high into the air as they broke against Battle Rock, and pushing sea foam high onto the beach. The sight of a winter-like sea brought a sense of excitement… albeit a cautious and respectful excitement.

Quote of the Day: “…through it all the cold sea wore its face of storms and death and sunken hopes...and yet unseen beneath the waves a warmer current ran that, in its time, would bring the spring.” ~ Susanna Kearsley, The Winter Sea
