One for Aimee, with lots of stars and constellations. #1487850

Peter, I like the way you have placed the asteroid in this one!! I like this one much better. #10333561

So do I Beth and thank you. It is great being part of a group that will either make good suggestions or at least make one reconsider one's work. #10333572

Dale Hardin September 22, 2012

I agree. Really like this one Peter and thanks for working on it and sharing the evolution of your ideas. Very creative. #10333666

Jeff E Jensen September 23, 2012

Yup, looks good! #10334311

Aimee C. Eisaman September 23, 2012

Thank you Peter I really do like this one alot! :~) Since you do these on layers I wonder what would happen if you were to do a bevel effect on the planet if it would have a more 3D spherical look to it? Just something you might want to play around with as you continue to do these. Or something to curse me for when you are looking thru menus! lol #10334362

Peter --Maybe you ought to put Dale and Stephen in a spaceship circling one of your planets. You are having too much fun with this technique. Or have a picture of yourself coming out of the middle of one of them....just keeping you on your toes! #10334419

Very cool Peter! I like the asteroid

Hummm . . . I like Debbie's suggestion of Dale and Stephen in a spaceship. :) #10334626

Thank you ladies. I just might try those suggestion. There is in PSE9 a filter to achieve what you are suggesting Aimee. It is
Filter>Distort>Spherize I did try that but it isn't too successful on a random pattern like the surface of my planet but does work well on something that for example is covered with equal sized shapes so that one gets the illusion of perspective.
Bevel edges Aimee would only result in the edges being rounded so that doesn't really give the effect of a sphere. #10334706

Another very cool one Peter. I love the asteroid you added to this one. What was that originally? Just a rock from the garden or did you create it? #10340964

Peter W. Marks September 25, 2012

Thanks Rita and Mike. Creating these has helped me dig deeper into my PSE9 program.
The asteroid is a piece of limestone rock about 7"x4" that I 'borrowed' from a border around one of our flower beds.
I know some folk have the ability to create abstract patterns etc in PS; straight from their minds. I need material objects which stimulate my thinking much in the same way as previously on BP I have written short story lines from other folks images. #10341133
