Curved Ceiling
Uploaded: September 15, 2012 06:20:28
The ceiling from the atrium of the National Portrait Gallery in Washington DC, where crossing curved beams create the pattern of recessed skylights. However, if you relax you eyes and look at the pattern from a different viewpoint, the skylights appear to be projecting structures that resemble keys on a keyboard.
For the PG101 "Curvature" Theme. HTD!

Right you are, Richard. I enjoy this unusual optical illusion and the pattern it creates. #10324961Chris Budny September 16, 2012
Ah yes! I'd forgotten about this -- doh! Wonderful capture of an all-curvy part (ie, someplaces, the skylight looks more linear.) And you got much better light than my visit. HTD! #10325083Julianne Bradford September 16, 2012
