Milkweed Tortoise Beetle

Uploaded: August 30, 2012

Description

I was walking on one of the dirt trails. I looked over and saw something on a leaf. As I got closer I noticed it was a beetle. I looked it up on line and this is what it said it was. First time I've ever seen one. Looks like a little piece of gold. Taken at Seminole Park.

They sure do tear through a leaf quickly......surprised if not for that reason (its destructiveness) that I never have seen or even heard about them.
