Saint Isaac's Cathedral in Saint Petersburg, Russia is the largest Russian Orthodox cathedral in the city. It is dedicated to Saint Isaac of Dalmatia, a patron saint of Peter the Great, who had been born on the feast day of that saint. The cathedral took 40 years to construct

Lovely image, Rey. Such a beautiful and mammoth ceiling. Wow. 40 years. I know restoration work alone can take years with these beautiful old places...Maybe this one isn't that old?? From the 70's or 60's?
