I love images like this, Lucy. I've seen hundreds of images of the the needle. This is the first I've seen taken form the needle. #346138

Thanks, Bob! It looks even better enlarged to 12x18. I have shots of the needle too, but nothing unique. I took this one night during the BetterPhoto summit in September. My first visit to Seattle - short but fun. I'd like to go again sometime next year and spend more time there. #2091102

Thanks, Gary! It wasn't easy. The deck is not designed for photography! I used only two legs of my tripod placed behind the hand rail, and rested against the ledge. Then I had to position the lens between the cables going around the perimeter of the observation deck. I liked the reflections off the black triangle-shaped building and the light was nice just before sunset. The sunset was beautiful, too! #2091179
