If Looks Could Kill

1/100 sec f2.8 ISO 4000 145mm
Going through my images from the wedding I shot yesterday and I had to share this kid's expression with you. Reminds me of Damien from The Omen! He looked at me like I shot his dog..
The wedding was SUPPOSED to be outdoors but it was pouring out and the ceremony was held in indoor hotel courtyard instead. Low light with a high dark wood ceiling..talk about a photographer's nightmare! Keeping my fingers crossed as I go through the shots...

What a great expression! Ed Kashi has a photography book called full of people looking into the camera-this would fit right in :) #1467012Dale Hardin June 04, 2012
I hope this was a temporary mood for him Tony. I'm sure you were able to overcome the difficulties and captured some glorious moments and some with a smile from this little guy.If this is to be a keeper, would suggest getting rid of that bright area just in front of the father's chest. #10167820

oh how you just made me so happy.... inside just knowing I have made the decision to do no more weddings. Almost twice this past few months I was tempted but stuck to my guns and said NO! I am sure you did find!!this is priceless! I agree with dale the spot in front of his chest should go. You do wonder what he was thinking? #10168614

Yup, that's a great look! I agree on the suggestion. Good luck with the rest of the images! #10168624Debbie E. Payne June 04, 2012
Tony -- This just cracks me up. I have a picture of my daughter from many years ago where I dressed her up in a frilly Easter dress and a cute little hat and curled her straight hair and she has her arms crossed and has the most hateful look on her face. She looks JUST like him. There are people, and that includes some children who just don't tolerate pictures taken of them and he looks like he might be one of them! I do agree about the area in front of the man. I'm sure you got a lot of good shots. Keep us "Posted" with more. #10168659Michael Kelly June 04, 2012
Great catch Tony. I agree with the suggestion, but other than that I think the color and tone is good. So if you shot this in the same space as the wedding your results should be excellent based on this example. #10168665Teresa H. Hunt June 05, 2012
LOL!! If looks could kill! Wonder what he was so upset about. :)This is a great capture. I agree with the bright spot. Can't wait to see the rest of your wedding photo's :) #10169173

Ha ha ha...I love it....kids are funny! I agree with some of the others if this is a sample of your other shoots I think you will have a great wedding album to put together. :~) I can imagine your nerves though when it started raining! Did you have good luck with the second shooter? #10169174Beth Spencer June 06, 2012
Priceless expression!! I bet all the pictures turn out great! #10170953Anthony L. Mancuso June 07, 2012
Thanks Phellos! I'm gonna pass on any editing on this one for now since I have a multitude of images to sort through...but I'm gonna start posting some other shots from the weddings.. #10171585Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
