Absolutely beautiful capture and composition Terry of this most unusual house. It's hard to believe that you could have built a house like that for $250.00, I would love to know what that would relate to in todays market. #10145095

Jack Gaskin level-deluxe 5/21/2012 10:47:25 PM

Now thats a home with a history !!! I'll bet old Julia was a VERY INTERESTING DATE.
Wonderful presentation as your Comp. just perfectly fits the home and those are some COLORFUL SHUTTERS. Which BTW would cost more to replace than the original coast of the home.

PS Think everyone no matter how many times they go to YSNP want to go back again. Be a HELL OF A PLACE for a BP GET TOGETHER !!! #10145222

The Hyde House was built c.1870, at a cost of $250. Julia Hyde believed that having an eight-sided house prevented evil spirits from trapping her in corners. This home was dismantled and reconstructed piece by piece and can be found in the Genesee Country Village and Museum in Mumford, NY.
