Equine photography is a speciality just like wedding or kids. It really helps to have lots of great subjects. Many farm shoots I have done go on for up to 4 days. Much of it just sitting in the pasture with the horses waiting for the right moment. One of my favorite times was sitting in a pasture of mares & new foals and having this one foal come check me out and then decide that I was ok and flopping down and going to sleep right by me. #10134371

Thanks for the input Zita. That makes a lot of sense. I guess one must study their patterns to know when they browse and when they play. Patience is the key, as well as access to the animals of course.

Other than equestrian contests, most my exposure to animals is when I pass a pasture during my travels. :o) #10134484
