One Legged
Uploaded: April 17, 2012
The way this little guy was flying around from branch to branch, I had no idea that he had only one leg until I opened the pictures of him in Photoshop! What a "game" little fellow!

Nice picture of a rare individual.Barbara L. Dunlap April 17, 2012
Thanks, David - I feel so sorry for him. I guess it could have happened while he was still in the nest with his siblings, but I am going to make sure that he and the others get plenty of food. #10095847Ann Coates April 17, 2012
Amazing how birds can survive with one leg. I have seen ducks with one leg too, although they are very cumbersome when getting around, but they manage. A great shot of this little battler. #10095888Kevin P. Kreischer April 17, 2012

Thanks, Ann and Kevin. One of the things I love about BetterPhoto.com photographers is that all of you care about the animals that we are fortunate enough to capture on our cameras. And yes, Kevin...nature is incredible in its adaptability. #10096144Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
