The best time to be at this location for storm clouds is during the summer (usually July and August).

Thanks David - the colors depend upon the weather conditions at the time. If it is bright and sunny, then the colors here tend to be washed out. When there is cloud cover, the colors here tend to me more brilliant. I think I also used a polarizing filter for this image. #10063415
