JEALOUSY This is the only ANIMAL SHOT I DON'T have in the wilds of Yellowstone..
I KNOW HOW RARE THEsE ARE FROM the Park and the background is fantastic. A FAVORITE THE MINUTE MY EYES SAW IT...

Hi Terry,That is awesome my friend.Beautiful capture, excellent compression on that shot.Sure want to stay away from that Mama Bear, they can be mean when they have cubs!!!

R. J. Laudenbacher 2/28/2012 4:42:13 PM

Oh how well I remember this magical moment Carol. There we were...the ranger yelling at us to get in the car...Doris does as she is told and heads to the car...but Carol...risk her life...and stays and get the shot of a lifetime! LOL Fabulous capture, my friend! #10012476

Stan Kwasniowski 2/28/2012 4:43:20 PM

What a great family wildlife scene you have captured here Terry! A 500mm lens would be as close as I would like to be to one of these critters! #10012481

Tammy M. Anderson 2/28/2012 6:01:18 PM

Just love this, Terry. I think bears get a bad rap in the wild. Everyone thinks they are all lying in wait to kill them. #10012638

Kay E. Mahoney 2/28/2012 6:55:04 PM

The Adventuress! Risking life and limb (or maybe a COUPLE of limbs...LOL!) Know you would never let this shot get away and you did it complete justice, you risk-taker!!! I'll agree with the others, tho....I'm tinged with a bit of the green envy syndrome myself! WTG, you little dare-devil! :) #10013528

As I was saying before (Wink) I think you need a LONG lens to be that close to a momma bear with her babies!! Your a brave soul!! An outstanding capture. Let's see if this comment sticks..... #10014095

I'm jealous, too and very envious! I never saw any bears in Lamar Valley when I was there - just tons of bison. But my oh my, what a fabulous capture of this family - great clarity and wonderful background - I just love the little cubs trying to keep up! Marvelous capture, Terry! #10014333

Terry Cervi 3/5/2012 6:45:30 PM

Thanks everyone! It was an unforgettable experience to watch mom and babies as they roamed, grazed and played together. We watched them for quite some time from a safe distance but before we knew it they had headed up the slope toward all of the tourists. The park ranger who had arrived, made everyone scurry to their vehicles. It was something I'll never forget! #10023844

Laura E. Swan 3/5/2012 7:03:46 PM

When I popped into look at your gallery, this image stood out at me straight away, a wild bear with her cubs, doesn't get any better than this and then I read everyones comments and realise this is not an everyday photographic opportunity. It's brilliant and I hope the Judges think so too. #10030701

Lisa J. Boulden 3/25/2012 8:46:29 PM
