House Finch

Uploaded: February 28, 2012

Description

This is a male house finch, which is easily confused with the purple finch, which is really reddish also. The difference is that the house finch has more red on the head and less distributed reddish tones in the rest of the body. Both are small, sparrow-sized birds. This was taken on an overcast winter morning in February in upstate New York.

Joseph, this is such a beautiful capture of this House Finch. Overcast days are the best. It has great sharpness, color and POV. Bill #1446270
