Fabulous capture of this really unusual lighthouse, Monnie! Terrific detail, and clarity - it really stands out against the grey, blue sky and water. It was 57 degrees here today, but we're supposed to get a bad thunderstorm this evening. #9958224

Just not sure I would feel safe in there during a storm.
Very cool lighthouse. #9958665

Wow. This one really effects me looking at it. I agree with Mr Tree! (Doug)... That's the last place I'd want to be during a storm! I hope it's built on solid rock and not sand?...It must be because it has withstood the test of time!

Powerful image, Monnie and you framed it just right!

The Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse is a National Historic Landmark and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975. The screw-pile-type structure stands in the Chesapeake Bay south of Annapolis, Maryland. Busy day today - will comment when I can. If we get lucky, it may reach 60 degrees here! Have a great Tuesday, everyone!
