When "spectacular" isn't a good enough word, what can I say? This is masterful, in every possible way. No, I did not notice the shadow paradox, but I'm glad that you pointed it out. I feel very confident in predicting that this image would be awarded a prize in any photo contest. #9955388

Thanks for the kind words. I had planned both this shot and one from the top of the mountain, about another hours hike in the snow, to also shoot the snow covered region with the sun. 30 minutes after I shot this the sky was completely overcast so that other shot needs to wait for the right conditions - clear sky, snow and sun in the right position and free time to make the trek. didn't work last year but hopefully I will be able to have another shot at it, pun intended, this winter #9955583
