Not a Butterfly
Uploaded: January 19, 2012
This was taken at the "Wings of Wonder" Butterfly farm but it's not a butterfly. It's one big moth. Trying to identify it I looked at hundreds of moth pictures but could not fine one that matched. I should have gotten it's name when I was there but didn't. Maybe it's not from the US.

Hi Denny,Beautiful capture my friend.I haven't seen a lot of butterflies this year. Also drier than normal here!!! #9930736Michelle Alton January 20, 2012
Gorgeous capture. I'm almost sure that it's an Atlas Moth. IDs are a little tricky because the wings rest in many different positions, but I'd be willing to bet.#9930780

My guess is it's an Atlas too, although the colors are different from any I've seen. Super capture! #9931162Mike Clime January 20, 2012
