The Islands of Lake Guntersville

Description

A warm winter day sees a combination of storms and fog over Lake Guntersville on the Tennessee River. The shallow waters near what is known as "the islands"' produce some nationally known "hot spots" for sports fishermen. Beyond the islands, the main river channel is over a mile wide. Cormorants roost in the island trees and have caused timber damage. Other damage to the timber is a results of the April 27, 2011 tornadoes.

The cormorants can sure do some major damage. In Ontario the Natural resources want to thin them out, but so far the government has said no.
