Morning Arrival

Description

There was another “backward sunrise” this morning with pretty colored pink-orange clouds to the west reflecting on the lake. As I was taking in all the beauty in the quietness of the morning, a pair of large ducks did a graceful landing on the mirror-like surface of the lake, and I caught them in the act. Five minutes earlier, the sound of a thousand wings broke the silence, as a large flock of birds flew by overhead. I was able to get a picture of that too, but will save it for later. An osprey also flew by quite close, but I wasn't able to capture him in a photo… at least not very well. I sure enjoy “starting anew” at the lake!
