Moon over Seattle
Uploaded: October 26, 2011
Teresa, I feel so strongly about this image because of what you did for me. In your time of grief, you drove all the way to Seattle to help me handle mine. Little girl, your courage and thoughtfullness is an inspiration.
Stay focused and don't let grief consume you. The boys are safe and you will carry on.Shutter speed: 8.00 F-stop: 8.0

Composite? Me? :o) #9770649Teresa H. Hunt October 29, 2011
Are the two tiny specks in the upper right corner stars? I'd remove them . . . . . or add more :) #9770739Debbie E. Payne October 29, 2011
Let's see "The Man in the Moon" a la Dale Style!Kidding aside, it is a great shot and the moon looks great. Some moons really are that big but it would look a bit more realistic if it was just a tad smaller. But hey, what do I know? #9770766

I don't see the specs Teresa but adding stars is a good idea. Thanks Debbie. The moon is bigger because I moved my camera two feet closer when I shot it. :O) #9771003

Looks great Dale. I think I might like this shoat as well or better without the moon too. Great exposure and crystal clear. #9771366Joan E. Hoffman October 29, 2011

I really like this one Dale! I bet some night I might even be able to see this moon and maybe if I am lucky there will be no snow or rain in the picture.Teresa H. Hunt October 29, 2011
So Dale if you made the moon bigger by moving your camera two fee closer . . . . how'd you move it's location in the sky? :) #9771495Joan E. Hoffman October 29, 2011
The POWER of Photography of course :) #9771502Teresa H. Hunt October 29, 2011
Or at least the power of Photoshop! :) #9771504Debbie E. Payne October 29, 2011
I saw a harvest moon last fall and yes, it was huge. We were traveling on the freeway and I could not shoot it in a moving car; although I'm sure Dale would have the perfect "fix" for that as well. The power of Photoshop is truly amazing. I still want to see Dale's face in the harvest moon. #9771529Dale Hardin October 30, 2011
Thanks everyone for having a bit of fun with this one. You have no idea how tempting it is to put my face in the moon just for you Debbie. :o) #9772279Rita K. Connell October 30, 2011
you are way to funny dale this is an awesome shot of seattle. again I am so jealous we just couldn't find this spot. love the moon..... #9773345Carla Capra Anderson October 31, 2011
Awesome Photoshop skills and not to mention photographic skills, Dale. I really like how you added the moon, sure adds drama and intrigue. My eye is drawn to the neon sign on the right. What is that a key?Aimee C. Eisaman October 31, 2011
You turned an already beautiful image of the sky line and turned it into something magical. Awesome edit! :~) #9774172Dale Hardin October 31, 2011

Dale, it was no trouble for me to drive to Seattle at all. I used to live up there and miss the area. So not only did I get to meet a great friend, I also got to visit an area I love. Anytime your in my area I'd be happy to drive 4 hours to go shooting with you. :) I really did have a great time hanging out with you. :) #9938240Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
