Silk Creek just before Sunset
Uploaded: September 23, 2005
f/4.0, 1/160s, 12mm, ISO 80
I was wading in the creek so I only carried the point and shoot.
Jordan, NY
I applied a gaussian blur and then pasted the orginal tree back in without the blur. I'm not sure if I like it or not. I generally prefer things sharp. Also did some other adjustments in PSCS.

I like the gaussain blur in this image Mary. The colors almost have a glow to them. I think this is very beautiful, & it caught my eye right, away even in the thumbnail! ~Pam~ #314900Patty Razonable September 23, 2005 0
At first I thought you might have used the buZZ effect.....the gaussian blur looks great and the idea of pasting the original tree back in makes this scenic imaage beautiful!! #1868880Joy Rector September 23, 2005 0

Very well done indeed, Mary!! This is a SUPER image with the perfect effects!! Love it! #1871206Pam M September 24, 2005 0
mmmm very inspiring ... this technique might help me feel better about some of my more grainy pics produced by my camera. I'm feeling rather discouraged ... like every shot is nearly useless because in one way or another my HP945 is just about ruining every shot ... but this really could help a few. Thanks for sharing!have fun,
