Emerald Tree Boas (Corallus caninus) Description: Canon EOS 20D Shooting Date/Time 9/18/2005 3:04:16 PM Shooting Mode Aperture-Priority AE Tv( Shutter Speed ) 1/4 Av( Aperture Value ) 16.0 Metering Mode Evaluative Metering Exposure Compensation 0 ISO Speed 400 Lens 100.0 mm Focal Length 100.0 mm------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------ Emerald Tree Boas (Corallus caninus) ~ this beautiful snake is one of the most dramatically colorful snakes in Class Serpentes. It has brilliant leaf green coloration with light to white markings along its whole body. These light/white markings against the green body closely emulates the patterns of sun splotches that penetrate the thick rain forest canopy. As this snake grows older the green slowly becomes darker. This pattern varies throughout the habitat and locale where individuals live. Uploaded on 9/19/2005 7:52:30 PM
