Sunrise from Steptoe Butte

Description

ISO 800, f/8, 1/500 sec, Canon 28-135 lens at 53 mm, handheld. Kamiak Butte is the small peak visible about midframe on the horizon. We got to the top of the Butte just as the sun was rising, and rather than taking the time to set up the tripod and risk missing the color, I set a fast shutter speed and handheld. Shortly after this, the clouds set in and the light became very flat.
