Can you remember blowing on a puffball and hoping your wishes would come true?
I vividly remember those days of long ago, but can hardly remember what my wishes were.
Did they ever come true? Maybe they did, but I had already forgotten that I had wished for them to happen.
If we remembered every wish we made, if we had kept a record of the ones that came true and the ones that did not,
maybe we would not remember now that blowing on a puffball was so important;
maybe we would not remember that we were once children and we had dreams and wishes
and that hope was all that mattered.
I must admit that even now, once in a while, I still blow on a puffball when nobody is looking
and my wish is always the same: To continue being a child at heart and
to believe that dreams can still come true.
