Quiet Corner

Uploaded: July 28, 2011

Description

Blairs Loch, Forres, Scotland

A quiet corner at an old boat shed painted red over previous coats of blue beside Blairs Loch in Forres. The peeled paint cobwebs and vivid green ivy make a wonderful juxtaposition of opposing hues making something that is inherently ugly surprisingly attractive.

Pentax 67II, 55-100 zoom, polariser, f/22 at 8 seconds. Velvia.

You're right on; the weathered and peeling paint, with with that beautiful red, along with the green ivy and the hint of prior paint is just terrific! Beautifully captured! #1398028
