A SLIGHT CROP. This was from Gatorland and was only bout 8ft from the boardwalk. It's amazing that the birds not only are nesting so close to you but that they are almost unconcerned by your presence at all. When they squabble they will even brush right past you totally ignoring your existence while settling their disputes.
First week of March is a perfect time to Visit if your around DISNEY or in Orlando Fl.

Heat Index today forecast for 107 on LI

I was amazed at how close you must have been. I have never gotten within 30 feet of an egret before it took off.
Fascinating up-close shot, Jack.

When I'm in Long Beach Saturday, the temps will be in the low 80s. Whew! #9524016

Funny thing is I almost posted the exact same picture this morning, the danger of going on photo trips together I guess. Only 65 days to Yellowstone. #9524112

Another great close up shot Jack of this beautiful bird, how far from Disney World is Gatorland as maybe I need to venture over sometime when I'm down there. #9526017
