Description

Preparing for Battle
These restored terracotta soldiers appear to be ready for battle. Their hands were created to hold weapons, which they did when originally built. The weapons have long since been removed, presumably at the time when the statues were destroyed. Each soldier is unique. Note how the faces of these soldiers differ from each other. Their faces, clothing and bodies are all individually created and no two were alike. Their features and clothing are representative of the Chinese people over 2,000 years ago.
