Defending Our Country

Uploaded: July 04, 2011

Description

This is a combination of 6 layers. Each one had to be transformed and twisted to lay flat. The background layer are the names and everything is added after. Each plaque had to be adjusted to fit next to each other. Changed the whole background to b&w then added flag. On every photo the opacity was lowered to see the names. All of these plaques and names are outside our arena in town.

This could not be more beautiful and meaningful and deep.

Your technicals are perfect in my eyes, Patricia.

What a grand layering job. I hope the BP judges give you excellent marks for this!

Very creative and patriotic Patricia. I like it a lot. This is so well done and it's obvious that you have excellent processing skills.

If you want to go even further with this wonderful rendition, have you considered using contour mapping on the flag? #9507152

Extra special image Patricia. When I first saw your completed image I could tell it required a lot of work. Now that I've seen your before photos I realize that I underestimated the amount of time you spent.

A great tribute, skillfully executed. #9509565

I want to thank everyone for all of your comments. I didn't even know these plaques were in our town. I had this idea when I saw them, yes it took some time. Each plaque is a different time span I am not sure which war was what except the one for 9/11. I had to remember how to straighten photos. That was actually the most time consuming part. I am half tempted to send this to our Mayor but not sure if he would like it or not. Thanks again. #9511901
