Uploaded: June 18, 2011
San Ignatio Lagoon, Mexico. These incredible gray whales come over to the boats to be touched and kissed. They are called "friendlies" because of their desire for interactions with humans.

Wonderful interaction! Wonder what drives that behavior! #9466510Karen Celella June 21, 2011
Thank you Jeff, Carolyn, David and Carol. They don't really know what drives that behavior. There is no food involved or any other reward except for the contact. It really is amazing! #9471712Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
