Description

Palomar State Park
One of 70 closing in September this year due to budget cuts in California
Please help! Go to www.calparks.org to sign a petition
Even if you are in another state
All of America's public lands are at stake
As California goes..so goes the nation
If we lose our public lands what open space will be left for future generations?
Views like this will be lost forever.
Thank You!!

Proactive is the word and you are absolutely right, SoCal - closing of state parks in CA means that same shameful loss will occur in each and every state. It WILL happen and only we can stop it. Thanks once again for bringing this to our attention and everyone - go to the calparks site and let your voice (and signature) be heard!!!! #9453667

Thanks for your great comments and for letting your voice for preservation of public lands be heard by signing a petition at www.calparks.org. This year will be the last year that grade school children will go to camp up on Palomar due to budget cuts..ending a 20 year tradition for San Diego school children. It is sad that we can't make people more aware of this issue on TV and in the newspapers before our public lands are closed and then probably sold off. California sets an example..other states will follow. #9454253

Such a sad, sad situation it is, Julianne. Our ideas about what's important need to be thought about carefully and priorities ordered. This is such a lovely and wild view you've given us to enjoy here. #9456571
