I like the design elements here, Kerry.
Nice comp, light, color, and shadows.
The circular fastener in the corner balances the composition nicely.
Well seen and captured.

Hi Lisa,
Thanks for the note! I always love shooting graphic-design patterns of lines (especially diagonals) and this scene caught my eye. A really good point about the circular fastener, since I made a point to incorporate it in the composition. Of course, it helps catching the scene in beautiful late-day light. :) Thanks again, Lisa. #9704324

Hi Jo Ann, Kathy and Amalia,
It's so great to hear from all of you. I'm pleased you liked the photo, and thanks for sharing the nice thoughts ... much appreciated!!
Kerry

P.S. & FYI: When light and subject come together in a good way, I always try to work a stationary scene in as many different ways as possible ... by varying the composition, lens focal length, and format. In this case, I'm glad I did! :)

The publisher of Jim Miotke's and my next book needed a photo to fill a last-minute vertical space. I sent them the vertical version of this scene ... and it will appear in The BetterPhoto Guide to Photographing Light (April 2012). :) #9793688
