1/500s @ f/8.0, ISO 1250, Nikkor 300 mm f/2.8 @ 600 mm with 2X TC. (MT-Sharing)
Taken at the Celery Bog last month – I just loved watching the geese, especially when defending their territory. I never knew this, but geese mate for life with very low "divorce rates" and pairs remain together throughout the year.

Exif: F Number: 8, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/500 seconds, Flash: did not fire., ISO: 1250, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 600.00 mm, Model: NIKON D700

Very cute capture, Rona! Brought a big smile to me!! They are so interesting to watch!! They are such cute families, too! A few years ago at Lake Katherine, saw a Turkey Vulture come in for a look at the babies at the lake, and several of the geese jumped in the water, in what looked like a big defensive move. The vulture moved on. Love the capture!! #1379607

Beautiful capture, Rona. And yes, I also learned only last week that geese mate for life and take turn taking care of their babies. #9424888
