Our time is limited

Pelicans have lived here for over 50 years but their time is limited as these piles have to be removed to allow the flow of the river!!! You gotta wonder who makes these rules. Lens aperture f/5.5, shutter speed 1/250sec, focal length 42mm, ISO 160. Taken with a Sony DSC-H70
Exif: F Number: 5.5, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 10/2500 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 160, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 42.50 mm, Model: DSC-H70

A wonderful scene and capture Chris! Sometimes I wonder if Kuruah is still part of Australia! You seem to have an abundance of retards in your local council! #9404902Ann Coates May 14, 2011
That is sad indeed. Maybe some pressure needs to be put on the Council. Excellent capture Chris. #9405081Tammy Espino May 15, 2011
Wonderful capture!!! #9406352Carolyn J. Connolly May 26, 2011
Chris, it really DOES make you wonder "who makes these rules" when it comes to things like this!! :o(Craziness well carried out, I say!! The poor birds!! Flow of the river - that sounds like a 'good' story to me!! :o(
ANYWAY, this is an excellent capture of this well-lit but sad scene, my friend - their time was INDEED limited!! :o( #9429088

What a fun scene to witness. I would have loved to watch the birds alight and land on the stumps. You caught a very interesting lineup in this photo.
Nice work Chris. #9432075

Thank you for the comments. It was sad to see it all go, but that's progress so they say. #9432901Cindy Bendush June 05, 2011

Thanks so much. #9485273Patricia A. Casey July 03, 2011
I wonder too, Chris....lots of those kind of decisions here too...truly government(s) are no longer run by the people through their legislators....oh well I digress....this is a wonderfully timed capture...The pelicans may be wiser than the decision makers...they will find a new place to rest....Cheers! #9503525Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
