The LIGHTER SIDE OF BRONX ZOO LIFE .....
Even the Worlds largest Carnivore needs a bit of a distraction while cooling off in his pool. One of the largest challenges to zoo keepers is trying to provide stimulation and keep the animals in their charge active and in good physical condition.

These animals sure need that stimulation in a zoo environment. Zoos have certainly changed their ideas and it is good to see the lengths the keepers go to to stop the animals from getting bored. A terrific capture here Jack. #9401597Mike Clime May 12, 2011

Great shot Jack, I checked my photos and have the same identical shot. Sorry you were not able to make it today but next Thursday sounds good to me. The gorillas were pretty active today and the A.C. was on so it was nice and comfortable inside. They give them snacks around 1:00 so they all become very active, good time to be there.Enjoy your weekend and I'll speak to you next week. #9401837
