Peel Me A Grape

Description

This line was made famous by Mae West in 1933's "I'm No Angel". Yet in some poor parts of Latin America, women are paid next to nothing for the painstaking work of peeling grapes. The jarred grapes are sold to rich clients and the peels are sold to wineries to enhance the color of red wines. It's sad to think that we have come to this. See further comments in discussion.

If you have read my "public service announcement", perhaps you should check the date - APRIL FOOL!!! I came across this old photo of my wife peeling a grape for a shot I was planning; but never used. I colored her skin and added the jar of peeled grapes (my own brand). If you want to buy some, they are $250 per quart jar ;) #1366054
