Double Arch
Uploaded: April 01, 2011
Double Arch, Arches National Park, Utah. The forces of nature have acted in concert to create this landscape of Arches, which contains the greatest density of natural arches in the world. Throughout the park, rock layers reveal millions of years of deposition, erosion and other geologic events. These layers continue to shape life in Arches today.

The Daily Mail reported that a local manufacturer had sold 10,000 "rogue bras" that were causing a unique and unprecedented problem, not to the wearers but to the public at large. Apparently the support wire in these bras had been made out of a kind of copper originally designed for use in fire alarms. When this copper came into contact with nylon and body heat, it produced static electricity which, in turn, was interfering with local television, computers and radio broadcasts. Has your computer been acting up lately... ;>)Monnie Ryan April 01, 2011
LOL! My bra is supported by rebar, Denny, so not to worry! This is a gorgeous capture - the people show the enormity of this awesome formation! Well done! #9329659Denny E. Barnes April 01, 2011

Don't know which I applaud more...the joke or the image (LOL)! Actually, this is a magnificent capture showing the vastness of this geological wonder...superbly done! Have been here since Sunday, and it has rained every single day here on the coast (I know you are further inland). Today we have had 1/2 hour of sun, then a downpour, another 1/2 hour of sun followed by another downpour again and again. The beauty and the lushness of the woods surpasses the inconvenienc of the rain. This morning we had a herd of elk parade up our drive, pass the house and head up to the meadow...amazing to watch! #9331499Marty Straub April 05, 2011
Excellent point of view and vignetting, Denny. Well captured with the humans showing scale. #9335787Denny E. Barnes April 05, 2011
