The Sweet Breath of Spring
Uploaded: March 18, 2011
Another rework of an image from April 2010. Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center - Red Admiral butterfly - atop (and immensely enjoying!) some Mexican plum blooms.
I was hoping to give you-all something new but a couple of weeks ago, while out shooting for the first time in months, I pulled a hamstring muscle chasing down a butterfly...I'm beginning to think there's this little black cloud following me around whenever I have a camera in my hand...at least I'm keeping the Physical Therapy gals busy between my arm and now, my leg! :) Have a good Friday, all, and a super weekend, too! (Still playing catch-up with all your galleries - bear with me, please!)

This is just glorious Valarie! Please stop hurting yourself! No black clouds could follow you..your too sweet. I think it's nature making you slow down and pay attention to yourself for a change :-) Get better soon! #9308856Val Feldman March 22, 2011
Thanks so much Julianne and Chris - good advice given on both your parts...I'll try to heed...and be good...and duck all future black clouds!!!!! Thanks again! ~Val #9308988Marty Straub March 22, 2011
How extraordinary, Val. Bright and beautifully backlit with outstanding detail on the dark side. What an amazing exposure with the perfect dof and sky bg.{Good to hear and see you're gaining on the setback, Val. YOu might as well mention to those PT people that they should work on ALL of the moving parts. Explain to them that you have little or no control once a subject starts calling. You're an artist at the mercy of your muse.} #9309330

Sorry to hear about your latest mishap, Val, but I certainly hope you turn the corner and get well soon. You light up the BP world and we miss you! Know how you feel though - my back goes out regularly every 3 months and it's very depressing. But this is a glorious bit of joy! Spectacular colors and very unusual specimen (both butterfly and flower). Marvelous detail, light and DOF - love the blue sky BG! #9317701Bill Houghton March 26, 2011
