This water has some absolutely unbelievable color. Spring of Youth, maybe? #9275443Steve M. Harrington March 05, 2011
Thanks, Joanna! The color is caused by minerals suspended in the water by the glacier. It is pretty and very cold...you would die of hypothermia rather quickly in these waters. The lakes fed by these streams are an incredible turquoise. My shot of Lake O'Hara is a good example.Kathleen K. Parker March 11, 2011
What a beautiful place, Steve. Living in totally flat land, I greatly appreciate seeing geologic creations like this. Lovely!!Steve M. Harrington March 11, 2011
