Meet Miss Uriah! Our house guest for a year~
What a little doll! At 8 weeks young, she already knows how to sit (for a second or two, ha!) and down~ for food... we are going to have our hands full- she is very smart and inquisitive!

Good Morning Chris, Kay, Ann and Michelle. Thanks for popping in to meet our foster pup. Hopefully, she will be a 'canine vision dog' of Canada-after staying with us, she goes off to school and trains for about 6 months. Bubbles, our pet rat knows there is some creature staying here with us, but Uriah really hasn't noticed her. I'm not too sure yet when a face to face meet will happen, but I know that Uriah is a handful NOW- and not old enough to sit without grabbing her.

I am TOTALLY in love with her. She's gorgeous... I can't wait for all the photos that you will be taking of her while she stays with you... she is the perfect photography subject!! #9272505

Hi Carla, Patricia and Sherran~ thank you so much!
I am having fun running after her - trying to keep the home clean- if you know what I mean, lol! Can't wait until she is toilet trained. She is a very smart puppy, so I am hopeful she will do well in this area too.

We were taught how to get a puppy to sit and then the command sit--down for her kibble. I can't believe she does it at 8 weeks!

You even TOILET TRAIN them? Can I send my dogs to you for a few months so you can train them to do this, too? :)

She is ADORABLE! She looks a little on the mischievous side, too! hehe Thank you for helping with this great cause, Chris!

We have to train these cuties everything except the specialized training (how to help with 'seeing eye' duties)...
When Uriah is about 6 months she will be able to travel with us on city buses, go in stores/doctor's offices, the gym, Church, grocerystores, malls, YOU NAME IT... the only place I can't take her is to where ever there is water (which makes me sad!) Labs usually love water! But it would not be good if a working lab saw water and dragged her blind companion to the lake!!

Thanks for coming by Karen~
Smiling Chris

Just a quick browse to see Miss Uriah's paws (She's gonna be a big 'un!) and to commend you and your family (because it IS a team effort, isn't it?) on the wonderful service, complete with utter dedication and work (even if it's with a puppy as wonderful as Uriah) that you are providing to a very deserving cause...Kudos to you and yours and all the best to Miss Uriah in the year ahead...she'll be a wonderful companion to someone who needs her dearly, I'm sure....and thanks again, Chris & Family! #9312667
