One of the shots from my Yardley News photo assignment this week. This is spillover from the "Lower Dam" that originally created Lake Afton some 200 years ago, and also powered the 18th Century grist mill in Yardley that is now a boutique. The dam was threatened by the construction of a new townhouse community, but has been saved this week by agreement with the Developer.

I thought the ice-encrusted "dunes" were beautiful -- but you wouldn't want to trudge through them on foot, if you weren't obligated!

This was shot just before the geese (that I posted yesterday) showed up.

The old, horribly dilapidated factory just behind the dam on the right will be demolished. Lord knows what is living in that wretched building!
