Turn the water on

Uploaded: February 05, 2011

Description

This bird knows where the cool, clean water comes from. And in today's extreme heat, it was appreciated. The fountain was made & donated by Dieter Hartmann for the Hunter Region Botanic Gardens. Lens aperture f/8, shutter speed 1/320sec, focal length 105mm, ISO 200.

Superb capture here, Chris...and I surely know why that bird appreciated the water from the fountain today!! Wow, we've certainly had a week of it, haven't we?!! It'll be wonderful to get some temp's in the 20's next week!! :o/ #1350449

Thanks for that. I'll appreciate a few cooler days, it was 46 in our back-room yesterday, just as well I had the air-cons going in the rest of the house. #9214923

What an interesting, topical capture Chris! I must get back there one day!
I love summer, but last week was ridiculous! #9215072

There's Summer & then there's torture!! At least we haven't got floods & cyclones, I just keep thinking of that. Not much at the Gardens at the moment & a lot of the walks were closed due to extreme fire conditions. I don't know why I said I'd go out yesterday=^..^= #9215153
