Are sunsets good subject material for photographers or has it been overdone? Any tips for making distinctive sunset shots... #31

I don't think so. No matter how much I look at a sunset or sunrise, it never ceases to intrigue and amaze me. It's the same as looking at the stars or the moon. I personally think that we sometime take God's magnificent creations for granted.

The Pebble Beach sunset is awesome and makes me envious. I don't care what they say about "overdoing sunsets", but I'm certainly in search of the "perfect one". Obviously, timing and patience is a big ingredient to a successful image of nature changing so rapidly. I've been remiss on both counts, but haven't given up. And because of that I suppose I can appreciate what went into capturing this beautiful moment of time.

Of course, living in California must offer a little advantage over living in Northwest Ohio, but it is the same sun, right? :-) Happy holidays!

Sunsets are one of my personal favourites. I don't think they could ever be overdone! especially when its captured perfectly, as this one clearly shows. There maybe a million and one things wrong with it, but not that I can see, hence why I am joining. #67
