iso 5000 (auto iso), 400mm (Canon 100-400L), f/11 (av priority), 1/320, handheld/burst mode, a lot of playing with this one in pse9 and NIK....Today at Pt Defiance Zoo, Tacoma WA. When I got to this point in my playing, it reminded me of Johnny Weismuller in Tarzan... :-)

Thanks... :-)This is the male in the larger exhibit area...The female and their 2 cubs are in another secluded area nearby...There's a small area that he can stand in to see her in her area...They do alot of staring at each other....

What a superb capture Bob, great timing! #9030741Mitch Spence November 25, 2010
Nice playing, Bob. What a scary stare that is. Happy Thanksgiving to you. I suspect you've got some very cold temperatures for your area to deal with today. #9063089Bob Cournoyer November 25, 2010
Thanks....Michele Peterson December 03, 2010
Hey, I know this tiger! We visit him often, and he's quite intimidating. One day we were there and he was trying to get the female's attention by roaring at her. Scary sound. Excellent job capturing him, Bob. I'll be thinking of this shot when we visit him next! Making this one my favorite. #9079078Thomas E. Hinds December 22, 2010
Really, a stunning image, Bob! As Michele said, he looks really intimidating, and incredibly beautiful! Great B&W! This guy may have even made Johnny Weismuller swinging on a vine out of sight! #9120497Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
