Fantastic capture of mother natures fury!Mark S. Cox October 29, 2010
Great shots! You must have been standing next to me. The wind was wild. I was handholding my 100-400 lens and was being tossed around like a kite. Still getting the sand out of my equipment...but worth it! #9004277Jim Glass October 30, 2010
Thanks Carla and Mark. I was there on Wednesday 10/27 between 11:30 and 1:00, with about 10 other photographers on the beach south of the pier. I tried handholding my 100-250 lens, but then hiked back and got the tripod because I couldn't stand still in the wind - glad I did. No sand in my equipment, but sure was spitting sand and shaking out my clothes the rest of the day. #9004525Mark S. Cox October 30, 2010
We just missed each other! I got there at 1:15 and left by 2:00 (I had G. R. Symphony rehearsal and had to be at the Devos hall by 3:00). I should have used my tripod - my arms and hands were killing me by the end. #9004621Donna La Mattino Pagakis November 01, 2010
