Yes, The Birdie is perched and so is the goddess! VERY CLEVER, Patti! :)

I love the streaks and splashes of discoloration on the statue. By the looks of it (seeing a serpent there) she is perhaps a goddess of the sea? And these markings leave the look of her being underwater with sun shining down into it. Just the way it struck ME anyway.
